Small Fire Caused Evacuations At Springfield’s Bulk Mail Center


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield’s Bulk Mail center on Page Boulevard was evacuated about 7:30AM this Saturday morning.

Fire department spokesman Dennis Leger advised 22News there was a fire in the machinery just below a conveyor belt.

Firefighters found that friction heat was the cause. Leger said the fire was quickly put out and no one was hurt. > Share this:
