Tracking The Storm

The impending snow storm has caused a schedule change for the Non-Public A and B state championship meet.

The NJSIAA announced Saturday morning at the beginning of the Group 1 and 4 meet that the Non-Publics, initially scheduled to compete at the Bubble at 3 p.m. Saturday, will now compete at noon Sunday.

As of 9:15 a.m., Toms River itself is not scheduled to be affected by the snow with the area only supposed to be hit by rain between 4 p.m. and 2 a.m. Sunday. The concern stems to the teams residing in North Jersey, where there is a winter storm warning in place between 5 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday. The change in schedule was put in place as those teams would be returning to their respective schools right in the middle of the scheduled storm warning.
